2013-2014 Theatre for the Young Touring Shows:

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
by le Chanche du Rand (adapted from the popular novel by C.S. Lewis)
Intended for grades 2-8, estimated run time is 50 minutes.
Open the door and enter a magical new world with Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy as they journey into the land of Narnia in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.  Join them as they meet Mr. Tumnus and Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, battle the White Witch and befriend Aslan the majestic lion. The story explores themes of friendship, greed, courage, imagination and teamwork as the four siblings go on a perilous adventure to save Narnia.

Playback Theatre is an improvisational form of performance that invites audience members to share stories from their everyday lives and then re-performs them with artistry and respect. We honor stories: we honor lives. Founded almost a decade ago, 6 Figures Playback Theatre Company performs and conducts workshops for diverse audiences and events.

EMU's Musical Theatre Troupe, was formed in the Fall of 1996. ENCORE provides educational entertainment to the campus, community and area schools. Composed of EMU student performers under the direction of R. MacKenzie Lewis and Ken Stevens, ENCORE has performed for a wide range of audiences - from campus special events to tours to senior centers and community galas. Performances and workshops for local high schools are also an important part of ENCORE's musical outreach.

Workshops include: The Musical Theatre Audition, Musical Theatre Performance and/or Cabaret style performance along with a short performance by ENCORE.

The Winter of 2014, ENCORE will also be performing a staged reading of the new work Irrational, music by R. Mackenzie Lewis, book & lyrics by David Wells on January 24 and 25 at 7pm, and January 26 at 2pm in EMU's Sponberg Theatre.
