Environmental Health and Safety coordinates hazardous waste
disposal, the respiratory protection program, and
the confined space entry program. The office is also
the official EMU
liaison with state agencies such as the Michigan
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA), Labor
and Economic Growth, Department
of Environmental Quality (DEQ), and the fire marshal.
The Office also maintains safety and training records
for the University and MSDSs.
