Become a part of the solution:

New students, faculty and staff have an opportunity to become a part of the solution by participating in the following educational programs included in your orientation to campus: 

  • First Four Yes Means Yes Program
    The Yes Means Yes program is an integral part of EMU’s First Four schedule. New students to campus are encouraged to participate in the full First Four schedule, including this important session on preventing sexual assault.
  • New Faculty/Lecturer Orientation
    An overview of EMU’s Title IX policy and employee responsibilities is provided during the New Faculty/Lecturer Orientation.
  • Staff Onboarding
    An overview of EMU’s Title IX policy and employee responsibilities is provided during the Staff Onboarding.

 

Attend Annual Programs

There are a number of annual programs on campus dedicated to raising awareness, facilitating dialog, and supporting victim/survivors. Please join us at some of the following programs:

  • Domestic Violence Awareness Month events (Women’s Resource Center)
  • Got Consent? (Department of Public Safety)
  • Human Trafficking Awareness Month events (Women’s Resource Center)
  • Vagina Monologues (Women’s Resource Center)
  • Consent Week/Sexual Assault Awareness Month events (Women’s Resource Center)
  • Take Back the Night (Women’s Resource Center)
  • Rape Aggression Defense (Department of Public Safety)

Apply to become a WRC Peer Educator

The Women’s Resource Center Peer Educators are a highly trained group of undergraduate and graduate students who deliver programs on sexual assault, intimate partner violence, rape culture, masculinity, and consent. Peer Educators are selected in September of each year and are available by request to facilitate these programs. If you are interested in applying to be a Peer Educator, please contact:
