Timelines for Internal Research Awards 2011/2012

Winter 2012 FRF*

Any application requesting FRF released-time during winter semester 2012 must be submitted no later than the October 3, 2011 deadline.

Notification goes to applicants/recipients, deans, and department heads/school directors.

Spring-Summer 2012, Fall 2012, Winter 2013 FRF*

Any application requesting FRF support during Spring/Summer 2012 or released-time during fall semester 2012 must be submitted no later than the February 1, 2012 deadline. Applications for release-time in winter semester 2013 can be submitted for this February deadline, in addition to the following October 2012 deadline.

*In order to be as consistent and fair as possible to all applicants, the University Research and Sabbatical Leave Committee (URSLC) will evaluate and rank, at the same time and as one pool, all the FRF applications that request release during the same common semester. That is, the URSLC will evaluate only the release beginning winter 2012 applications during the fall 2011 evaluation period.  We will hold until later all the applications that are requesting release time commencing in all other semesters. Then, during the winter 2012 evaluation period, the URSLC will evaluate and rank three separate pools:  (1) all the 2012 Spring-Summer proposals (2) all the release-beginning-fall-2012 FRF applications and (3) all the release-beginning-winter-2013 applications.
