Other Policies
PLEASE NOTE:
Students taking CLEP exams are subject to all the limitations
listed in the current Eastern
Michigan University Undergraduate Catalog under "Alternative
Methods for Earning University Credit".
Exam Results (no essay):
You will receive your score immediately after the exam.
Exam Results with Essay:
Your final score is calculated by averaging the two individual scores which may
take 4-6 weeks after the exam date.
Receipt of Credit:
NOTE: Exam results cannot be given over the phone. You
will receive a letter in the mail indicating whether or not
you are receiving course credits for your exam.
Retaking Exams:
You must wait six (6) months to retake the same CLEP exam.
Denial of Credit:
Credit may not be duplicated for separate exams and/or completed
courses covering the same subject matter. Credit may be denied
if the student has already successfully completed a higher level
course in the same subject or enrolled in a similar course.
