Exams per Exam Date:
Only one exam per check-in time is allowed-see 2004 exam dates

Length of Exams:
90 minutes per exam without essay
or
180 minutes per exam with essay

Items to Bring:
1) Picture Identification-student ID is appropriate for EMU students only
2) Check or credit card details-separate check of $10 is required for optional essay
3) CLEP Test Center Admission Form-confirmation sent on receipt of your registration
4) Pen or pencil

Items Not Allowed:
Food, drink, books, papers, calculators, cellular phones, beepers, or PDAs

Calculators:
Scientific calculators are provided by the Computer-Based Test for the exams which allow calculators. (no personal calculators are allowed)

Dress:
Dress in layers - room temperature cannot be controlled

Scores for Essay Exams:
Scores for exams requiring essays are calculated by averaging the two individual scores. (allow 4-6 weeks after the exam date)

Other college and universities may offer different dates and times. For information on which institutions accept CLEP credit, visit the College Board's Web Site.

Students taking CLEP exams are subject to all the limitations listed in the current Eastern Michigan University Undergraduate Catalog under "Alternative Methods for Earning University Credit".
