General Education
& Banner Training
The training sessions consist of two parts,
each an hour long. The first part of the training is going
over the General Education Requirements, ACT and SAT score
requirements, transfer credit information, and other resources
available for advising undergraduate students. The second
part of the training is covering different Banner screens
that
would be used in an advising session with an undergraduate
student.
You and the other faculty/staff will need
to request Banner access through IT-Help
Desk. Faculty/Staff must have their Banner access and passwords
with them when attending the training session(s).
Once the you have received
your access codes from IT, you will need to request the
following:
1) The Office of Records and Registration:
Must have inquiry access to all 'common advising modules'.
2) The Office of Admissions (Maryann
Shichtman): Must have inquiry access to admissions'
modules for advising.
If you feel that this
would be beneficial to you or other faculty/staff in your
department and the above dates do not work for you, please
contact Molly Weir by calling 487-3344 or by e-mail.
He will set up a room and time just to train your faculty/staff
in your department. Please let him know how many faculty/staff
members are interested and what day of the week and time
would
be the best for you.
