Understand the periods of personal growth & development
that relate to college students.
- Meets one (1) of the two (2) Learning Beyond the Classroom requirements under the General Education Program.
- Explain the strategies for coping with the challenges of
college life.
- Recognize and utilize personal resources.
- Identify the various support services available to students
and describe how to use them.
- Understand different study approaches and test-taking strategies
and demonstrate their application to University study.
- Improve reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Discuss personal, academic, and career goals, and identify
appropriate resources to meet these goals.
- Understand the opportunities for involvement with classroom
and university activities.
- Develop critical reading and thinking skills.
