Research Interests

Mrs. Cheryl Olverson is pleased to be working in the African American Studies Department. She has been with EMU for 16+ years. While here, she has earned a Master's degree in Liberal Studies in Women's and Gender Studies and a Bachelor's of Science degree in African American Studies. Her employment began at the university as a work-study student in the Women’s Studies Program (now Women's and Gender Studies Department), the department of Economics and the department of History & Philosophy. Full time employment began in 1999 in the Math Department and later in the Women’s and Gender Studies Department. She enjoys working with and assisting faculty, staff and students here at EMU.
