Throughout its history, the University has been dedicated to providing an education geared towards applied knowledge. Today the University offers its 4800 students fifteen degree programs in fields such as: architecture, business, engineering, computer science and natural sciences. Important Dates:
The academic calendar at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences is somewhat different from the typical American university calendar. The Winter Semester at Karlsruhe (EMU's Fall Semester) starts at the beginning of October and runs through the end of January, with exams until mid February. Christmas break is at approximately the same time as here in the U.S. Summer Semester at Karlsruhe (EMU's Winter Semester) runs from mid March to mid July with exams continuing until the end of July.
