signed up for study abroad because I wanted to experience new
places and new people. I wanted to stop living a life were I only
knew what was going on in my country and paid no attention to
the rest of the world. Study abroad has changed my life. I now
know exactly who I am and what I can handle. The good times that

was amazing to me how quickly I became more independent and responsible
on this trip. I learned a great deal about respecting other cultures
and those around me. I learned more during those short 6 weeks than
I have during 2 years of college, about myself, cultures with a
rich history, and how societies are shaped by their history. I was
