Deadline Extended for Academic Program Proposals: Eastern Michigan University’s 2018 Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration

The MLK Planning Committee has extended the deadline for submission of academic program proposals to 5 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2017.  Please visit Eastern’s  MLK celebration website  for more information.  Questions may be directed to the Academic Program Co-Chairs Alexis Braun Marks at abraunma@emich.edu and Karen Rogers-Collins at krogersc@emich.edu.

Digital Marketing Workshop – November 17, 2017

An exciting half-day  conference  on getting the most out of digital marketing is taking place on November 17, 2017, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Center. The workshop features industry experts, Eastern faculty researchers, and students presenting their ideas on how you may improve your marketing skills across multiple search and social platforms.  Cost for the conference is $50 and includes breakfast and lunch.  The deadline for  registration  is November 12, 2017.  Reserve your seat today!

Open House [PDF] for Teacher Preparation Programs 

The College of Education is hosting an exploration of Eastern’s Teacher Preparation Programs, on Saturday, December 2, 10 a.m.–2:30 p.m. (lunch provided), followed by an optional campus tour. Interested students, parents, and guardians will be given the opportunity to tour COE facilities and attend mini-classes taught by outstanding COE faculty. Senior-level students will be there to share their perspective and experiences. Teaching opportunities after graduation will also be discussed.

Engage @ EMU Open House

On December 8, 2017, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Engage@EMU will be opening its doors at 203 Boone Hall to welcome students, staff, faculty and community partners, both past and present.  Attendees will enjoy food from local vendors as they learn how to engage with Engage@EMU.
