EMU offers online classes that fit your schedule.

Post Bachelor's students:

Admitted Students:

  1. Get Your Student ID Number

When you are admitted a letter is sent to you that includes your student ID and PIN number use this information to set up your My Emich Account.

  2. Set Up Your My Emich Account

Once you have your student ID and PIN number you can set up your My Emich account. My Emich is the campus portal system that will allow you to register online, check your schedule, set up an e-mail account, find out about your financial aid and pay your bills.

  3. Get Academic Advising

All new second bachelor students are required to meet with a second bachelor advisor before they are eligible to enroll in classes. During your advising appointment your advisor will develop a program of study with you.

Most Post Bachelor Teacher Certification Students (PBTC) have attended a group advising session prior to their admission. During that session most students receive enough information that they are likely to be able to register for their first semester of classes.

However, each PBTC student, must meet with the coordinator for post-baccalaureate teacher certification in the COE Office of Academic Services, 206 Porter Building, for an official program of study.

If they have not met with the academic coordinator for post bachelor teacher certification they should do so within the first semester. To make this appointment they should contact the College of Education's Office of Academic Services, 206 Porter Building, 734.487.1416.

Students who live out of state and are unable to attend an advising appointment on campus may call the Advising Office (734.487.2171) to schedule a phone advising appointment.

  4. Register For Classes

Once you have a My Emich account you will be able to register for courses using the online registration process.

Unless submitted a transcript with your guest application, you may need to show proof of satisfying the prerequisite for a class before being able to register for it.

  5. Get Your Eagle One ID Card

Your Eagle One card is your student identification card. It can also be activated to be used as a debit card. To get your Eagle One card, take the printed copy of your schedule and a picture ID, such as a driver's license, to the Eagle One office, located in 120 Student Center (lower level).

  6. Sign up for Housing

If you are interested in living in the residence halls you must complete a housing contract and bring or mail the completed contract and the housing deposit to the cashiers office in 200 Pierce Hall, Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197.

  7. Get a Parking Permit

Students who are planning to live on campus and want to bring a car must purchase a Resident Parking Permit. If you are planning to commute you can order your Commuter Parking Permit online or in person at the parking department on campus.

  8. Get Financial Aid

If you have completed the FAFSA and requested that your student aid report be sent to EMU, you will automatically be considered for financial aid.
