Post Bachelor's students
Applying to EMU
Prospective Post Bachelor's students must submit the following documents:
- Application for Undergraduate Admission
- Official transcripts in a sealed envelope from every college or university where you have attempted credit
Applicants seeking admission to the Post Bachelor's Teacher Preparation program must also submit:
- Department Application for Admission to the Post-baccalaureate Teacher Certification program (pdf).
- Statement of Civil/Criminal Convictions (pdf).
- Passing scores from the MTTC Basic Skills test which is only offered in January, April, July, October and November.
- Personal statement regarding your interest in becoming a teacher, explaining how professional experiences and/or work with children/youth have prepared you to become a teacher.
- Letter of recommendation from a professional source; the professional source should be able to talk about your professionalism and/or how your experiences with youth/children have prepared you to become a teacher.
In addition, international applicants (those with citizenship or educational credentials from outside the U.S.) must satisfy the requirements listed on the Checklist for Internationals Applicants.
All materials must be submitted to the Office of Admissions. Please allow 2-4 weeks for processing of documents sent by mail.
