Affording EMU
At EMU, we're committed to working with you and your family to make earning an EMU degree affordable. The following resources are designed to help families budget for attending EMU:
- Our tuition and fees calculator page can help you estimate your total costs based on a specific number of credit hours. It also provides an estimated cost of attendance for freshmen.
- The Office of Financial Aid provides scholarship information for freshmen, transfer students, and graduate students.
- Our Financial Planning Calculator is designed to be an easy-to-use tool for admitted students to determine their out-of-pocket costs after receiving their EMU financial aid award.
- The EMU Career Services Center provides job listings for many on- and off-campus jobs. If you've registered for fall classes at EMU and want to work to help pay for school, contact Career Services or attend a job fair on campus!
In addition, keep in mind that:
- EMU's 2009-2010 tuition increase is the lowest of any public university in Michigan. We're committed to containing our costs and maximizing the value of your tuition dollars.
- Ohio residents ALWAYS pay in-state tuition
- High school seniors are guaranteed consideration for academic scholarships of $1,500 or more per year with a 3.0+ cumulative GPA and strong test scores at the time of admission. Competitive scholarships provide even more money, up to a four-year full ride!
- Transfer students are guaranteed consideration for academic scholarships of $1,000 or more with a 3.0+ cumulative GPA and at least 30 transferrable credit hours at the time of admission.
- ALL undergraduate students who meet federal financial aid regulations can qualify for up to $5,500 per year in federal Stafford loans, regardless of your family's financial background.
