- Get Academic Advising
All new undergraduate students are required to meet with an academic adviser before they are eligible to enroll in classes. During your advising appointment, your adviser will review your existing credits and explain how your credits will contribute toward the completion of your EMU degree. They will also explain any additional steps you must take to have your transfer credit reviewed by any academic departments, in cases where the credit cannot be assigned by the Records Office.
Your adviser will also discuss the general education requirements of the university, any placement tests that you may need, and help you register for your first-semester classes.
Students who live out of state and are unable to attend an advising appointment on campus may call the Advising Office (734.487.2171) to schedule a phone advising appointment or to request an e-mail advising session.
