Undergrad Transfer Students
Transferring to EMU is easy and gives you a chance to experience our Education First environment firsthand. We welcome qualified students who have attended other colleges. Our minimum requirements for admission as a transfer student are 12 or more transferable credits and a 2.0+ cumulative college grade point average.
To find out which classes transfer to EMU from our common partner schools, visit our Transfer Equivalency page or the Michigan Transfer Network.
The Office of Admissions conveniently provides all needed resources for prospective students. You can meet with a transfer counselor, find out how your classes transfer, and get a better understanding of the transfer process by visiting with us. Use the navigation tools on this page to learn more. In addition, visit the Holman Learning Center to learn more about the many academic support services available to EMU transfer students.
If you're seeking the quickest path to enrollment, don't miss our Transfer in a Day program. This one-day program allows you to get admitted to EMU, receive academic advising and register for classes. If you're transfering to EMU after taking a break from college, our Return to Learn program could be what you need!
