Visit Programs

Visiting EMU is one of the best ways to get to know our warm and welcoming community and to learn about how you'll fit in at Eastern. We offer a variety of visit times and types - choose the option that best fits your needs!

  • Daily Tours: will give you a more individual look and feel of campus. Tour groups tend to be smaller Monday-Thursday and larger on Fridays and Saturdays.
  • "The Honors College" Campus Tour: Available to all interested incoming Freshman and Transfer students on Friday's at 11am. Prospective students and families will have the chance to meet Honors students, faculty, and staff, enjoy lunch on campus, and also tour the Honors residence hall.
  • The Presidential Scholarship Competition: High school students in the class of 2014 may participate in the Presidential Scholarship Competition on December 7, 2013 or December 14, 2013. Qualified students will be competing for a chance to receive our largest academic award, a four-year full-ride Presidential Scholarship, valued at approximately $69,500 over four years, or the Regents Gold Scholarship (tuition and fees for 30 credits a year renewable for four years - approximately $35,000).
  • Explore Eastern: is an open house where you can choose to take a tour, talk one-on-one with faculty from your major and current students, and find out more information from campus offices.
  • Admission Advisor Appointments: are designed for freshman and transfer students to meet with an advisor, apply for admission and, if possible, receive an admission decision on the spot! Appointments are available Monday-Friday and select Saturdays.
