Advisor Appointments
Advisor appointments are designed for freshman and transfer students to meet with a counselor, find out more about the admission process and, if possible, receive an admission decision on the spot! Our experienced admissions staff will meet one-on-one with you to:
- Review the EMU academic programs and majors you are considering. We'll show you which courses are required for a particular degree and how many credit hours are required.
- Discuss how your previous coursework will be evaluated at EMU once you apply.
- Review the re-application (if you've previously applied to EMU).
To receive an admission decision during your appointment, bring:
- Official transcripts in sealed envelopes. If you're a freshman applicant, bring transcripts showing all of your high school grades to date. If you're a transfer student, bring transcripts from every college or university you have attended.
- Official ACT or SAT scores (only if you are a freshman applicant under 21 years old)
- A $20 payment to cover the discounted application fee. EMU accepts cash, check, credit card or money order.
