Instructor / Assistant Professor - Information Assurance
The School of Technology Studies in the College of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track position in information assurance starting fall, 2008. The university is a federally designated Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education. Candidates should possess:
- Earned PhD/EdD degree in a relevant field or Masters with significant relevant experience
- Documented effective teaching skills for a least three years in higher education
- Documented knowledge and experience in information assurance/network security areas such as asset identification, network security administration, conducting security tests and evaluations, performing security, analyses and risk vulnerability assessments, etc.
- Documented publications and/or proposal development for external funding in a relevant field
Desired Skills
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar certification/equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Department of Defense Intelligence Information System
- Development of and implementation of training for Information System Security Managers and Officers
- Industry experience
