Helping EMU Find the Next Generation of Students

Remember when you were making your colege choice and wondered:

• What's it like to live in Ypsilanti?
• What are the classes like?
• What's it like to live in a residence hall?

Wouldn't it have been great to talk to someone who had already been there, done that, at EMU?

The Alumni Admissions Recruitment Team (AART) provides the kind of personal alumni contact that can help students decide — and their parents to agree — that Eastern Michigan University is the place for them to enroll, grow and enjoy as they work towards completing their education.

How Can You Help?

We ask for a one year commitment (September - August) in which you will spend approximately 10+hours of your time throughout the year contacting students in a variety of ways:

• Sending personal emails, letters and postcards
• Emailing EMU picture postcards
• Making telephone calls
• Participating in on campus events
• Volunteering at college fairs in your geographic area
• Networking with businesses and organizations in your community

The way you choose to volunteer is entirely up to you, although every volunteer is asked to personally contact students that have been admitted (but not yet enrolled) to EMU. Every student you contact makes a difference, and every hour you give is appreciated and valued.
