Office for Alumni Relations

What we do

The Office for Alumni Relations is the coordinating body for all alumni activity and the means by which personal relationships established during student days can be maintained and renewed. We provide more opportunities than ever for alumni to get involved and stay connected to EMU.

A primary goal of the office is maintaining contact with EMU's growing alumni base – 145,000 and counting. To fulfill our mission, we:

• Coordinate tailgates, outreach trips and awards ceremonies.
• Facilitate connections between alumni and with EMU via social media.
• Partner with the Division of Communications to publish the monthly e-newsletter (e-Edge) and the University's magazine (Eastern).
• Assist hundreds of volunteers through our alumni chapters program.
• Collaborate with the Alumni Association Board of Directors to ensure our programming aligns with the alumni community's needs.
