On-campus Membership Benefits

EMU Bookstore Discount

 

Eastern Michigan University Alumni Association benefits include a 10% discount for apparel and gift purchases made in the EMU Campus Bookstore. The EMU Campus Bookstore in the Student Center serves as a one-stop shop for Textbooks (new, used, rental, and digital), leisure reading, school and art supplies, and licensed EMU gifts and apparel (Men's, Women's, and Youth). The EMU Campus Bookstore is the only bookstore to give a percentage of all sales back to the University, helping to keep costs and fees at a minimum for students.


Competitive Edge Pro Shop Discount

 

Eastern Michigan University Alumni Association benefits include a 10% discounted rate with presentation of an EMU Alumni Membership card at the Competitive Edge Pro Shop located in the Rec/IM. EMU apparel including t-shirts, hats, shorts, souvenirs, racquetball and weightlifting equipment, swim accessories, and fitness attire are available for purchase at the discounted rate.


EMU Rec/IM Membership Discount

 

Eastern Michigan University Alumni Association benefits includes a 10% discounted rate and two free guest passes (per year and distributed through the Office for Alumni Relations) with presentation of an EMU Alumni Association membership card. Once membership has been purchased, the member is eligible to utilize all areas of the facility and participation in all Rec/IM sponsored events. Group Fitness classes are available and alumni are welcome to participate in the Intermural Oozeball (Mud Volleyball tourney) event.

  • Alumni who are not Rec/IM members may sponsor themselves for daily guest passes, plus two guests per daily visit, for $8.00 weekdays and $10.00 for Saturday or Sunday. The paid pass amount is credited towards the payment of the membership fee if Rec/IM membership is purchased within a week.

Library Access

 

Eastern Michigan University Alumni Association membership cards can be used to receive a library courtesy card to checkout materials from the University library. Courtesy cards must be picked up in person. The library catalog is available for anyone to use, from any location and Mel.org provides access to selected databases to all Michigan residents.
