Explore Eastern/AART: Explore Eastern is back Saturday, April 5, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the EMU Student Center. The open-house program is a great way for high school students, transfer students and graduate students to learn about EMU and how an EMU education can launch the path to their future. "Real Life" program: Students will tap into real world experience at the "Real Life: Careers in International Business " program, Wednesday, April 9, 4 p.m. at the Gary M. Owen Building, Room 201. A qualified panel of EMU alumni will answer students' questions about what it takes to succeed in careers in International Business. The Office for Alumni Relations is co-sponsoring the event with the Career Services Center and International Student Business Association with the help of the Student Organization for Alumni Relations (SOAR). E-Club - Varsity Letter Winner Jacket Ceremony: The E-Club Board of Directors is hosting a Varsity Letter Jacket Ceremony to congratulate first-year varsity letter winners. The event is Wednesday, April 9, 5 p.m. at Eagles' Nest, the main suite located on the second floor of the Convocation Center. Student-athletes from fall sports (football, men's and
women's cross-country, women's soccer and women's volleyball) who earned their
first varsity letters are invited to attend. The event is free for students. Parents are welcome and will be charged $5 at the door in accordance with NCAA regulations.

Alumni Travel Society: The Alumni Travel Society sets out for the magnificent waterways and canals of Holland and Belgium Sunday, April 13. The itinerary charts a scenic inland course from Amsterdam to Antwerp
exploring historic, cosmopolitan cities and charming riverine villages
along the way. Alumni and friends participating in the spring trip will spend eight nights aboard the MS Switzerland II, a first-class chartered

E-Club - Scholar Athlete Awards: The E-Club Alumni Chapter is sponsoring the 15th Annual Scholar Athlete Awards Ceremony Monday, April 14. The event, presented by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Student Athlete Support Services, begins at 6 p.m. at the Ypsilanti Marriott at Eagle Crest. COE Hall of Fame: EMU will honor alumni for their work in the field of education at the 8th Annual College of Education Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, Friday, April 18, at the John W. Porter Building. The reception, in the student lounge area, begins at 4 p.m., followed by the induction ceremony at 5 p.m.; both are open to the public. Congratulations to the 2008 inductees: Mary-Dean Barringer ('75), Thomas M. Gwaltney ('79) and Larry Warren ('70, '73). Frederick B.
