Dinner with 12 Strangers: The dates are set and the guest lists are being created for the 2008 season of Dinner with 12 Strangers. Orchestrated by EMU's Student Organization for Alumni Relations (SOAR) and the Office for Alumni Relations, this fun program helps to build and strengthen the EMU community through informal gatherings of alumni hosts, students and faculty. > Learn more

"Real Life" program: Students will tap into alumni experience at the "Real Life: Careers in Construction Management" program, Wednesday, Feb. 13, 4-5 p.m. in the Student Center’s Kiva Room. The event is hosted by the Office for Alumni Relations Office and Career Services Center with the help of the Student Organization for Alumni Relations (SOAR). The panel of EMU alumni answering students' questions about what it takes to succeed in careers in Construction Management includes James Hogan ('92, '98), US Construction and Design; Chris Dezsi ('05), Walbridge Aldinger; and Scott Milligan ('96), REDICO. Eagle Nation luncheon: Get the inside scoop on EMU Athletics. Join coaches, players and special guests at the upcoming winter Eagle Nation Luncheon at noon, in the Convocation Center atrium Thursday, Feb. 14. E-Club Athletic Hall of Fame: Join the E-Club Alumni Chapter for the the 32nd Annual E-Club Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony. A new class of EMU sports legends will be honored Saturday, Feb. 16, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the EMU Student Center. Congratulations to the honorees: Al Jagutis ('71, '78), men's basketball, men's tennis; Marci Kelley ('96), women's softball, Mark Leonard ('99), men's swimming; Tamyka McCord ('98), women's track; Stan Vinson ('75), men's track; and Doug Willer ('73, '80), wrestling. Tickets for the luncheon are $45 each and include admission to the 2 p.m. EMU-Central Michigan men's basketball game. Chicago Alumni Chapter social: Catch the EMU vs. WMU men’s basketball game with the Chicago Alumni Chapter Wednesday, Feb. 20, in the Windy City. Chicago alumni and friends are invited to attend the viewing social from 6-9 p.m. at Stretch Run Sporting Club & Grille (544 N. LaSalle). The event includes appetizers and full cash bar.
