GOLD Detroit Tigers baseball outing: GOLD alumni are heading to Comerica Park! Graduates of the Last Decade will cheer on the Detroit Tigers as they face the Cleveland Indians Sunday, June 8. The fun begins with a reception at Hockeytown Cafe (2301 Woodward Ave., Detroit) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring a pizza and salad buffet. The game begins at 1:05 p.m. Tickets are $25 and include admission to the game and pre-game lunch buffet. Friends and guests are welcome. Football golf outing: Gear up for the 2008 EMU football and support the team Monday, June 16, at Eagle Crest Golf Course for the 5th Annual E-Gridiron Group Golf Outing. The event, benefiting the EMU football program, begins with registration at 9 a.m. and continues with 10 a.m. shotgun start, 3 p.m. reception and 3:30 p.m. dinner, awards and raffle drawing. The registration fee is $150 per person and includes green fees, a cart, range balls, lunch, dinner and one 2008 season ticket package. Athletic Training Alumni Chapter social: The newly formed Athletic Training Alumni Chapter will celebrate Thursday, June 19, in St. Louis, Mo., at the historic riverfront. The chapter is hosting a social for Athletic Training alumni from 4-6 p.m. at The Feisty Bulldog Pub and Grille ( 720 N. 1st St.), located in Laclede's Landing. Lucy Parker golf outing: Come round out two decades of the Lucy Parker Women's Athletic Endowment Fund Golf Outing, Friday, June 20, at Eagle Crest Golf Course. This year marks the final installment of the event benefiting women's intercollegiate athletic programs at EMU. Play begins with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start. A celebration dinner concludes the event at 5 p.m. featuring keynote speaker Donna Lopiano, chief executive office of the Women’s Sports Foundation. Accounting golf outing: Fun and networking go hand in hand at the 13th Annual Accounting Alumni/Student Golf Scramble Friday, June 27, at Eagle Crest Golf Club. Play begins with an 8 a.m. shotgun start, followed by the "hot off the grill lunch," awards and raffle from 1-3 p.m. Registration is $95 per person and includes golf, a cart, contests and lunch, with proceeds benefiting EMU accounting and finance programs.
