AART Volunteers Basketball Social: Alumni Admissions Recruitment Team (AART) members and a guest are invited to a reception and basketball game Wednesday, March 4, at the EMU Convocation Center. AART members will receive free game tickets and admission to Suite H (located on the west side of the arena). The suite will be open at 6 p.m.; game time is 7 p.m. vs. Northern Illinois. Masters in Business Administration Alumni Chapter Meet and Greet: The Masters in Business Administration Alumni Chapter is hosting a "Meet and Greet" reception with Richard Sheridan, President and CEO of Menlo Innovations, following his seminar on Ethics in Marketing (5:30-6:30 p.m., room 114), as part of the COB Ethos Week on Tuesday, Mar. 10. The event is from 6:30-7:30 p.m., room 472 in the College of Business' Gary M. Owen building. Light refreshments will be served and there is no charge. PR Alumni Chapter social: Alumni and friends are invited to a night of networking and entertainment at GoComedy! Improv Theater in Ferndale (261. E Nine Mile Rd.) on Wednesday, March 11. Network and have complimentary hors devours with other PR professionals from 6-7:30 p.m., then, enjoy the show from 8-9 p.m. There is no charge. SOAR, Dinner with 12 Strangers Program: The large Eastern Michigan
University community can become even friendlier and actually feel smaller.
How? Have some strangers over for dinner. Coordinated by the Office for
Alumni Relations and SOAR, the Student Organization for Alumni Relations,
Dinner with 12 Strangers is a fun program designed to help build and
strengthen the EMU community through informal gatherings. Local alumni are
invited to serve as dinner hosts for groups of 12 previously unacquainted

CMTA Alumni Chapter Forensics Hall of Fame Induction and Team Tribute: The CMTA Alumni Chapter and Department of Communication, Media and Theatre Arts invite friends and alumni to attend the Second Forensics Hall of Fame Induction and Team Tribute and Reception on Saturday, March 21. The Induction Ceremony will be held at Sponberg Theatre from 12-2 p.m. and a reception hosted by EMU President Susan Martin will be held at University House from 2-4 p.m.2009 Hall of Fame inductees include Carole Bennett, Dennis Cockrum, Bill Coelius, Kim Roe, Jeff Seasholtz, Dave Smith, Danny Vice, Jayme Wilson. AART Volunteers outing at Friends of Chamber Music: AART Volunteers outing at Friends of Chamber Music: AART members and their guests are invited to attend the Friends of Chamber Music concert that will feature the Fu-Xi Piano Trio. AART members will meet for this free concert in the lobby of Pease Auditorium at 3:45 p.m. After the concert, members will gather at the Sidetrack Bar and Grill for a social in Depot Town. Chicago Alumni Chapter Wine Tasting Social: The Chicago Alumni Chapter invites alumni and friends to a wine tasting social on Tuesday, March 24, at The Tasting Room in Chicago (1415 W. Randolph St.) from 7-8:30 p.m. The tasting includes six wines paired with an elegant array of satisfying appetizers. Space is limited. R.S.V.P. by Friday, March 13. The cost is $25 per person. AART Volunteers at Explore Eastern: EMU's Explore Eastern program will take place Saturday, Mar. 28, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the EMU Student Center. The open-house program is a great way for high school students, transfer students and graduate students to learn about EMU and how an EMU education can open the path to their future. The program includes campus tours, deans' presentations, student panels, academic fair, on-site admissions and more. Learn more online at www.emich.edu/explore or call 734.487.6453. GOLD Family Event, Cold Blooded Creatures: Get the facts about snakes, toads, salamanders and turtles during an interactive presentation by the Leslie Science and Nature Center on Saturday, March 28 from 10:30 a.m. until noon. Enjoy the unique opportunity to touch some of these animals, and be amazed as you learn more about their adaptations, behavior, and physical structure during this family friendly event for young alumni and their little eagles. The presentation will be held in room 360 of the EMU Student Center and includes a craft project and snack following the presentation. Registration is $4 per adult, children are free. Real Life Careers in Occupational Therapy: Students will tap into alumni experience at the "Real Life: Careers in Occupational Therapy" program, Monday, March 30,
3-4 p.m. in 205 Marshall. The event is hosted by the Office for Alumni Relations Office and Career Services Center. A panel of EMU alumni will answer students' questions about what it takes to succeed in careers in Occupational Therapy.
