Information for Students
As a student, you will benefit from the Alumni Career Connection program by connecting your classroom experience with real-world, practical lessons. Alumni who have experience in the working world can direct and instruct you in ways that academic classes alone cannot. Whether you want information about a career that you think is right for you or you are looking to explore your options, the Alumni Career Connection provides a unique learning opportunity.
In addition, it’s never too early to start networking with professionals in your potential career field. Who better to start with than those who received their start at Eastern Michigan University? Most importantly, participating in the Alumni Career Connection will assist you in building your professional experience credentials, which will prove to be essential in your employment search.
Whether you are interested in brief e-mail correspondence with an EMU graduate, visiting with a graduate at his or her place of employment, having a graduate come and talk to your class or student group, or sustaining a long-term, one-on-one mentoring relationship with a graduate, the Alumni Career Connection is for you!
