Level One - Introductory Contact
- Students and alumni interact through telephone or e-mail to address basic questions about a career and a graduate's educational and professional background. The number of exchanges is dependent upon the wishes of the graduate.
- The method of contact (telephone or e-mail) and time of contact (at home or at work) are determined by the volunteer's preferences as specified in the Alumni Career Connection profile.
How does the program work?
- Students can click here to register for the program.
- After you complete your online registration form, the Career Services Center will send you a letter of welcome and a questionnaire detailing your interests.
- Once we receive your completed questionnaire, we will enter you into our database and give you the names and contact information of up to three alumni who match your career interest. It is up to you to contact the alumni on your list.
- Along with the names of your alumni matches, we will also send you some tips for interacting with alumni through this program and using Alumni Career Connection to your full advantage.
- If there isn't a graduate in the database who matches your career interest, we will notify you of this and will contact you as soon as we are able to make a match.
If you have any questions about the Alumni Career Connection programs, please contact us via e-mail or call the Career Services Center at 734.487.4272.
