Level Five- Mentoring Relationship
- An EMU student and graduate sustain mentoring relationship through ongoing phone, e-mail, and in-person interaction; the graduate introducing the student to colleagues, networking and professional development opportunities; and other components as agreed upon by the student and the graduate.
How does the program work?
- Students can click here to register for the program.
- After you complete your online registration form, the Career Services Center will send you a letter of welcome and a questionnaire detailing your interests.
- Once we receive your completed questionnaire, we will enter you into our database and give you the names and contact information of up to three alumni who match your career interest. It is up to you to contact the alumni on your list and move forward with establishing a mentoring relationship.
- Along with the names of your alumni matches, we will also send you some tips for interacting with alumni through this program and using Alumni Career Connection to your full advantage.
- If there isn't a graduate in the database who matches your career interest and desires to be a mentor at this time, we will notify you of this and will contact you as soon as we are able to make a match.
