Information about Alumni Contacts
Like our alumni chapters, alumni contacts are important ambassadors for Eastern Michigan University. Alumni contacts are committed to supporting Eastern Michigan University alumni interaction in their area, but on a less formal scale than an alumni chapter. They should publicly show pride in EMU and publicize EMU in their community and should help foster alumni interaction within their community; however, they are not required to hold designated activities or have a formalized structure for programming, publicity, finances or leadership. If, over time, a network forms to adequately support an alumni chapter in the area, alumni contacts may work with other interested volunteers to formalize an alumni chapter.
