John Hartig (BS74, MS77) has won the 2011 Green Book Festival Award in the scientific category for his book "Burning Rivers: Revival of Four Urban-Industrial Rivers that Caught on Fire".

Merel Keck Jr. (BBA75, MBA79) has been selected by the Community Foundation of Monroe’s board of trustees as the president of its executive committee.

Ozzie Hashley (MA78) has retired after 39 years of service in the Clinton Community School District.
