TRUEMU Pride Week

October 16 - 22

Alumni one and all, have you ever wondered how many people on any given day might share a significant bond with you? There are 148,127 of your fellow alumni out there, and this year TRUEMU Pride Week is sweeping the world over. Ride the wave and keep your eyes open; you'll see that wherever you are, fellow alumni aren't so far away after all.

Curious? Excited? We at the Office for Alumni Relations and the Alumni Association Board of Directors sure are. Want to know more?

This year's Homecoming celebration will be marked with a movement. For one solid green and white week, alumni are encouraged to wear their EMU gear, display EMU license plates and plate holders with pride, and let their EMU spirits soar. Whether you are a Huron or an Eagle, whether you graduated 50 years ago or last semester, we want you to show the world you remember your times in Y-Town, water tower and all.

The options are endless: Jackets, pins, sweatshirts, rain boots, t-shirts, letterman jackets, Greek Life letters, key chains, hats, mugs, and flags- whatever you have or get, bust out your gear by October 16 and keep it up until victory is ours at Rynearson Stadium on October 22. While you are at it, get your digital life on track and download our Facebook Icon and Desktop Background.

Don't worry, we completely support your green and white endeavor so when people ask why you are all decked out, you can smile because you are not alone. "I am TRUE-EMU" is all you need to say.

If you are in the Ypsilanti area, or don't mind making the drive, join us for our TRUEMU Alumni Happy Hour at Corner Brewery for a good time and a chance to win some more EMU swag. We will be at 720 Norris St, Ypsilanti, MI 48198, on October 20 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and, surely, you can guess what attire is highly suggested.

The week long Homecoming celebration culminates on October 22. The tailgating will start early in Tailgate Town and the Rynearson lot but be sure to visit the Alumni Tailgate on the front lawn of Rynearson Stadium. Alumni Homecoming Tailgate festivities are open to Families, Friends and Fans of EMU and will start at 11 a.m. The Alumni staff and Alumni Association Board of Directors will be there to welcome guests with amazing food, sales, and free fun in our usual spot just outside the stadium.
