ANN ARBOR- The Eastern Michigan University German Alumni Chapter welcomes all chapter members, friends of the German department and the entire EMU alumni family to join us at the German Park Recreation Club on Saturday, July 28, beginning at 4 p.m. Gates to the park open at 4 p.m. and remain open to new guests until 9 p.m. The park closes at 11 p.m.
This will mark the first-ever event put on by the GAC, which was founded in November 2011. German Park is a very popular venue for its friendly, family-oriented outdoor festival-type atmosphere. Several former German students made it out for the June 30 festival and had a blast.
German Park is located at 5549 Pontiac Trail, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, and features authentic German beer, food, music and dancing. The park offers several open-air picnic areas as well as a roofed tent with a stage. Entry into the park is $5 per person. People ages 21-and-under are not admitted into the park unless accompanied by an adult. Also be advised that it is a cash only operation. No ATM is available on-site.
We welcome anybody interested in attending to join us and to invite friends and family as well. However, we also ask that you please RSVP by going to our Facebook event or by sending an email to email@example.com. Also, it is advised that you get there as early as possible as seating can become rather limited as the evening goes on.
