Eastern Michigan University's Alumni Association cordially invites you to take part in the horticultural and historical adventure of a lifetime. Your British journey begins next summer.

The eight day excursion is set to take place May 17 through May 24, 2014, and will provide attendants with the quintessential London experience, as well as an exclusive tour of the flowers and foliage which have become synonymous with the city.
The cost for a couple is $3,999 (based on double occupancy), and has been reduced from the regular rate by $200. For that amount airfare, lodging, many excursions, six breakfasts, and three dinners are included.
Days two and three of the trip will be filled with London culture. Touring the classic sights, historical locations and ample free time to enjoy shopping or relaxing has been allotted.
May 20 is the fourth day of the excursion, and is a special one. Visitors will enjoy a members-only experience at the "World's greatest flower show", the Chelsea Flower Show held on the grounds of the Royal Hospital in Chelsea. This prestigious, world-known show is celebrating its 101 year anniversary, and participants of this trip will experience opening day.
After the Chelsea Flower Show, a visit to the Hampton Court Palace has been scheduled. This royal "living museum" is filled with prominent personalities from British history. Speak with Henry VIII, or find your way through the winding Yew Tree Maze on the grounds.
For the remainder of the trip, travelers will branch out and witness some of the finest scenery in the United Kingdom including: castles, towns, museums, and shops. A Gala Dinner at the 60 acre, flagship garden of the Royal Horticultural Society will conclude the trip.
