The Office for Alumni Relations is the coordinating body for all alumni activity and the means by which personal relationships established during student days can be maintained and renewed. We provide more opportunities than ever for alumni to get involved and stay connected to EMU.
A primary goal of the office is maintaining contact with EMU's growing alumni base – 130,000 and counting. Major yearly events coordinated by the office include Homecoming and the Annual Alumni Awards Dinner. The office hosts thousands of alumni and friends annually at events both on and off campus with a comprehensive outreach program involving alumni in Michigan and outside the state. Alumni volunteer opportunities coordinated by the office are the Alumni Admissions Recruitment Team (AART), Career Connection and Legislative Connection.
Communication is vital to our mission. Publications serving EMU alumni and friends with important news and information include Exemplar magazine (formerly The Edge), the e-Edge electronic monthly newsletter as well as this Web site. Stay informed!
