What is the Alumni Spirit Tassel?

The Spirit Tassel symbolizes your support of Eastern Michigan University's mission and values. It is worn at graduation along with your program tassel, or purchased as a keepsake by alumni.

How can I get my Alumni Spirit Tassel?

Return the Alumni Spirit Tassel form with your gift of at least $10. Or, call 734.487.0250 to place your order.

What do I receive for my participation?

Graduates who make a donation and wear their Spirit Tassel at commencement will be specially acknowledged during the commencement program. Those who do not participate in commencement have the tassel as a keepsake reminder of their days at Eastern Michigan University, and their gift to future students.

How will my donation help Eastern Michigan University?

All proceeds from the Alumni Spirit Tassels benefit the Eastern Michigan University Partnership for Excellence Fund. Supported by alumni donations, the Partnership for Excellence addresses the most urgent needs of the University, e.g, scholarships and financial aid.
