EMU Anthropology Club

The Anthropology Club is dedicated to furthering the understanding of cultural diversity within its community and members.  In addition, we provide support for each other's study of anthropology and related fields. The Anthropology club meets casually once a month for discussions and attends cultural and anthropological events throughout the year.  Such events include, but are not limited to, attending professional lectures and enjoying diverse cuisine, film and music.

The club meets several times each semester. Most recently, the Anthropology Club has had film nights, participated in Michigan Archaeology Day events at the Michigan Historical Center in Lansing, attended lectures by Dr. James Bellis (University of Notre Dame) on human evolution and Dr. Kay McGowan (EMU) on American Indians at the United Nations, and visited a Hindu religious service and enjoyed some Indian cuisine.
