Beginning on Monday 10/22, communication consultants will be available from 1-3pm Monday and 1-5pm Tuesday through Thursday in the Academic Projects Center.
This pilot program has been funded through the generous support of a grant from Women in Philanthropy at EMU and is the result of a partnership with the Communication Across the Curriculum Program.
Communication Consultants offer training and coaching for individual speech/presentation delivery as well as group presentations - including work with visual aids, PowerPoint, and other presentation technology. Consultants will also work with individuals and groups on speech/presentation content, research, and writing.
Communication Consultants are trained to facilitate group decision making when groups are experiencing conflict, and, to assist students in the management and reduction of speech/presentation anxiety.
Students can reserve a private room with a projector and computer in which they can work with a communication consultant. The presentation rehearsal space is available for .5 hour reservations from 11-5 Monday-Thursday. The space is available to students practicing group or individual presentations. Reservations can be made in person or by telephone at 734-487-2543.
