Continuous Improvement/Academic Quality Improvement Program

In February 2004 Eastern Michigan University was accepted into the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP). This alternative accreditation process is more intense and efficient, uses faster cycles of improvement, involves faculty more directly in all academic improvement processes, maintains an institution's status with the Department of Education, and emphasizes an institution's distinctive needs and aspirations.

Infuse the principles and benefits of continuous improvement processes in to the culture of the University.Demonstrate the University meets standards through an ongoing sequence of activities that characterize organizations striving to improve their performance.

Share both the continuous improvement activities and results of these actions with AQIP, thereby providing NCA with evidence to make a public quality judgment and support and assist the institution to achieve its mission.
