The Art Department at EMU offers the following graduate degrees:

NON-DEGREE/SELF IMPROVEMENT
A student may apply for the non-degree "self improvement" category
with the Office of Admissions if coursework is needed to prepare a portfolio
for submission to the Art Department's graduate admissions committee.
With the Art Department's Graduate Admissions Committee's approval,
hours taken during self improvement can be applied towards
the degree if and when the student is admitted. However,
no more than six hours of self-improvement credit can be used toward
the degree concentration in either the Master of Arts (Studio) or the
Master of Fine Art degree programs.
