Michael Tew
Michael Tew is professor in Communication and Theatre Arts at Eastern Michigan University. His specific areas of interest and expertise are public communication, communication and culture and LGBT studies. Professor Tew is integrating Academic Service-Learning into his Public Discourse Analysis course (CTAC 440). The course is a senior level course that examines public deliberation, advocacy and controversy. His students learn methods of facilitating public discussion and conduct needs assessment focus group discussions with members of communities served by various not-for-profit agencies.
