New procedures are in place regarding duplicate person records (permanent duplicates) in Banner that contain data that cannot be merged or moved.
For details download the Fixing Multiple Person Records procedure (3-page PDF file). This procedure was revised to include a new ID format to denote "permanent duplicates". Permanent duplicates are records that contain data in the finance and HR areas that cannot be merged or moved, therefore, the record can never be deleted from Banner. The ID numbers on these records will be changed to Z-ID's.
