Pre-Med Advising

Suggested Course of Study (with emphasis on pre-medicine)
The following is a suggested course of study which satisfies the pre-requisites for many U.S medical schools and provides a knowledge base for the MCAT exam. Completion of the above list WILL NOT, in of itself, lead to a EMU B.A. or B.S. degree. These courses must be taken in the context of a degree-granting major . Additional or alternate courses may be required for those wishing to pursue other graduate programs (e.g. Veterinary, Chiropractic, Physician's Assistant). This list should not replace consultation with a Pre-professional advisor.

See the EMU course catalog for course descriptions. The course schedule for each semester can be found in my.emich. For more detail about the biology curriculum, go to the Biology Department Homepage).
