“My Mic Sounds Nice”: A Hip-Hop Feminism Showcase-Women's History Month 2013

Hip hop feminism issues a call to engage in praxis--the immersion of theory and practice. This workshop will demonstrate how hip hop can be empowering and provide a space for women and men to celebrate diversity and the experiences of women.

In conjunction with the exhibition Subverting Modernism: Cass Corridor Revisited, 1966-1980, Vince Carducci will lecture on "Envisioning Real Utopias in Detroit." Dean of Undergraduate Studies at CCS, Carducci was a Kresge Literary Arts Fellow in 2010.
