Martin Luther King Jr. Gardens - near Welch Hall
Students, faculty and staff and the public are invited to take part in the commemoration, with a remembrance to occur adjacent to the bust of Dr. King in the MLK garden, located on the south side of Welch Hall. The schedule is as follows:
2:45 p.m. People will gather at the MLK Gardens, at the east end of Welch Hall. The rain location is 201 Welch Hall.
2:55 p.m. Welcome from President Susan Martin.
3 p.m. Bells and chimes will ring on campus, followed by playing of the actual speech from Dr. King.
3:15 p.m. Closing remarks by EMU professor Dr. Ronald Woods and State Representative Dave Rutledge will follow the speech.
