Multicultural Greek Council
The Multicultural Greek Council at Eastern Michigan University is unaffiliated with the National MGC. When the community found itself with a group of multicultural organizations unaffiliated with a council, they worked together to form one that would be significant to their purpose. In Spring of 2017, the council was formally established with an executive board and their first written constitution. This council is a local entity comprised currently of 1 active multicultural organization and 1 colony. The executive board is composed of 5 elected leaders from various chapters, who are chosen to serve the overall needs of the chapters.
The chapters that make up the MGC at Eastern Michigan University are:
- Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc.
- Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc.
