How and Where to Study

Everyone studies differently, some need white noise, some need no noise, some need coffee and some need a sports drink.

Quick Tips

  • Don't study anywhere too distracting or too familiar. For most people, home is usually too distracting and too familiar.
  • Take a 15-minute study-break about every half hour.
    • Walk around.
    • Eat a granola bar.
    • Get a drink.
  • You can reward yourself at study-break intervals: “If I study for 30 minutes, I can call my friend”
  • Turn off phones (no text messaging), TVs, computers, and game stations while studying.
  • If distracted by music, choose music you don’t have memorized and keep it low volume.
