EMU wants to make your transition as smooth as possible to ensure your academic success; that’s why you’re invited to attend Fusion: Spring 2008 New Student Orientation. Whether you are new to the college experience or just new to EMU, Orientation is packed with information you need to get your year started off right. The program will provide you with the opportunity to meet fellow students, learn about campus resources, and take care of business before classes begin. Orientation is not mandatory, but highly recommended for students new to the Eastern experience. In order to fit your busy schedule, we’ve provided you with several options for Orientation.
Choose from one of three options to fit your busy schedule. A detailed schedule of each option is below:

Orientation is designed to give you a brief introduction to the EMU campus and your resources for success. At Spring Orientation you will learn about programs and services available at EMU. We will discuss academic resources, navigating campus, time management, technology, and using the myEmich web portal system. There will be time to ask questions. The program will close with enough time for you to take care of last minute University business and/or take part in a tour of campus.

EMU campus services are available 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some offices offer extended hours during the first week of classes. If you would like assistance contacting a specific office please do not hesitate to contact us.
| OPTION 1 | Thursday, May 1 at the EMU Student Center, Room-352 3-4:15 p.m. - Orientation Session - This session is designed for you to learn about programs and services available at EMU. We will discuss academic and personal resources available to you as a student, navigating campus, time management, technology, and using the myEmich web portal system. There will be time to ask questions. 4:15-5 p.m. - Resource Time - Our staff will be on hand to assist you in taking care of last minute unfinished EMU business. We will help you find places on campus such as the parking office, EagleOne ID card office, EMU Bookstore, the on campus bank-TCF, academic advising, and Service EMU where they can assist you with, registration, financial aid, and your student bill. |
| OPTION 2 | Monday, May 5 at the EMU Student Center, Room 350 3-4:15 p.m. - Orientation Session - This session is designed for you to learn about programs and services available at EMU. We will discuss academic and personal resources available to you as a student, navigating campus, time management, technology, and using the myEmich web portal system. There will be time to ask questions. 4:15-5 p.m. - Resource Time - Our staff will be on hand to assist you in taking care of last minute unfinished EMU business. There will be time to ask questions. 9:45-10:30 a.m. - Resource Time - Our staff will be on hand to assist you in taking care of last minute unfinished EMU business. We will help you find places on campus such as the parking office, EagleOne ID card office, EMU Bookstore, the on campus bank-TCF, academic advising, and Service EMU where they can assist you with, registration, financial aid, and your student bill. |
