Teaching in China
The College of Arts and Sciences is currently accepting proposals
for two-week visits to Bohai University beginning Spring 2008
Available to full-time faculty in CAS, specifically:
- English Language & Literature
- Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
- Economics
- Computer Science
- Mathematics
- Other fields as can be accommodated by Bohai University
Send a proposal:
- Description of your project: research, teaching, service, etc.
- The content and how you plan to conduct/deliver with a timeline
- Number of lectures for students, discussions with faculty,
etc.
- Reasons for doing this project in China
- A 5-page curriculum vitae
What you get from CAS:
- Round-trip airfare
- $250 Honorarium for dissemination upon the semester following
your return
- Travel arrangements and help with visa application
Decide when you want to go:
- A two week period during May 5 - June 30
- Between end of Fall semester and beginning of Winter semester
- Other time periods are possible, depending on EMU teaching
loads
